Potential Nets 2026 NBA Draft pick Darius Acuff Jr. talks future fit

CHICAGO -- The Brooklyn Nets came away from the 2026 NBA Draft Lottery with the No. 6 pick, meaning they will miss out on a potential superstar in BYU forward AJ Dybantsa. However, given that this 2026 class is deeper than most drafts, Brooklyn could exit the draft with someone that could be ready to take his game to the next level, potentially Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr.
"Whatever team takes me, I'm good. Getting to know them [the Nets ], it was a good experience for sure, just talking to them," Acuff said at the NBA Draft Combine when asked what his meeting with Brooklyn was like. Once Sunday's Lottery concluded, most mock drafts had the Nets being in a position to take Acuff, assuming that the Los Angeles Clippers don't select him with the No.
