Philadelphia 76ers forward Kelly Oubre Jr. gives his thoughts on the job coach Nick Nurse has done.

PHILADELPHIA -- The Philadelphia 76ers are in the process of moving on to the offseason after being swept in Round 2 by the New York Knicks . The Sixers are now heading into a change in the front office after the team parted ways with Daryl Morey after six seasons as the team's President of Basketball Operations. One figurehead who will be back is coach Nick Nurse for his fourth season on the job.

Nurse has compiled a 116-130 record during his time in Philadelphia, but that is due to the awful 2024-25 season when the team was ravaged by injuries and didn't have their main guys available for too long. When the season ended on Sunday, veteran forward Kelly Oubre Jr. gave his thoughts on Nurse during his three seasons under his guidance.

"I mean, he goes about his business in an unconventional way," Oubre started. "When I say that, I mean, like he's always a couple steps ahead. He just kind of reminds me of just one of those minds that is, like, you don't know until, like, you see it.

" Nurse is certainly unconventional in his coaching ways. He is somebody who focuses a lot on doing things a different way. He is looking for ways to make life easier for his players on the floor and is always looking to get the most out of every player.
