FSU shortstop Isa Torres is one of 10 finalists for the USA Softball National Player of the Year award for the second straight season.

USA Softball revealed the 10 finalists for the 2026 USA Softball Collegiate Player of the Year award on Wednesday, and one FSU Seminole has made the list. For the second straight season, shortstop Isa Torres is one of the 10 finalists. It is one of the top awards in the country and highlights outstanding athletic achievement throughout the regular season.

Torres has already been named the ACC Player and Defender of the Year, with more national awards set to come her way as well. She is having one of the best regular seasons in program history, ranking third in the country in batting average (. 542), fourth in the country in hits (90), fourth in the country in on-base percentage (.

605), sixth in the country in total bases (168), eighth in the country in slugging percentage (1. 012) and eighth in the country in total runs (74). Torres also ranks in the top 25 in the country in doubles (18) and triples (6).

Torres has already broken the school record for total runs and is on pace to break the school records for batting average, hits, slugging percentage, and on-base percentage. She has been excellent in the field as well, not making her first error until the ACC Tournament. She has one error in 164 chances, making her first 160 plays in the field before the mistake.
