Dolphins coaches impressed with Kadyn Proctor after rookie minicamp
The Miami Dolphins held rookie minicamp over the weekend, and rookie offensive lineman Kadyn Proctor impressed on the field.
The Miami Dolphins were back in the building this past weekend, as they had their 13 drafted rookies, 12 undrafted free agents and a slow of players trying out for the team in for rookie minicamp. As expected, first-round pick Kadyn Proctor got the attention of several coaches during the sessions, including offensive coordinator Bobby Slowik, who's one of the only holdovers from the 2025 coaching staff. "Absolutely massive," Slowik told reports after minicamp (via the Palm Beach Post ).
"I mean, might be one of the biggest individuals I've ever seen in my life. His legs are bigger than me, but he moves like he's 290 or 300 (pounds)... He's a really big human with great feet and good movement skills.
And quite honestly, when you do that, you could play anywhere up front. Now, he played mainly left side college, so we're gonna keep on the left side, whether it's guard or tackle. " Proctor is expected to kick inside to left guard after starting 39 games at left tackle for the Crimson Tide over the last three years.
This will allow Jonah Savaiinaea to move back to right guard, where he played in college. Slowik isn't the only offensive coach that Proctor has impressed early on. "How big he is, just his athletic skill set is," Dolphins offensive line coach Zach Yenser said.
