Quintayvious Hutchins, Patriots 7th-round pick, charged with assault and battery after alleged altercation with woman

Quintayvious Hutchins signed his rookie contract with the Patriots on Saturday.

Hutchins pleaded not guilty to all charges at the arraignment and was released on his own recognizance.

Hutchins is alleged to have forcefully grabbed a woman by the neck during an altercation at a Boston College residence hall Tuesday. A resident assistant told police they heard and man and woman arguing in the hall. When that resident assistant looked to see what was going on, they claimed Hutchins pushed the woman and grabbed her by her neck , per ESPN.

Police spoke to the woman, who reportedly claimed nothing happened and that she did not want further assistance. The Patriots told ESPN they were aware of the report and were gathering information. "We are aware of the report involving Quintayvious Hutchins.

We take these matters very seriously and are in the process of gathering additional information," the Patriots said in a statement. Hutchins, 23, was selected by the Patriots with the No. 247 overall pick in the 2026 NFL Draft.
