Not everyone is buying the idea the Boston Celtics want to trade Jaylen Brown for Giannis

And at least one well-connected NBA reporter isn't buying the hype.

Fans of the Boston Celtics find themselves in the midst of an ongoing debate about whether it would make sense for the team's front office to trade star forward Jaylen Brown for Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo. And this is not the first time such a debate has happened, while at the same time, a number of factors have put some added weight on this seemingly near-annual offseason tradition. The cryptic comments made by Brown in his post-playoff series loss stream, (and subsequent words from friend and mentor Tracy McGrady) are pointed to by one camp as evidence the deal needs to happen.

And on the other side, Brown's response to that kerfuffle along with Celtics president Brad Stevens' as evidence to the contrary. Still, Bleacher Report reporter Jake Fischer relates that for all the debate, it might just be for naught once again. "The Celtics have come out and said that they love Jaylen Brown and that they feel good about him," shares the B/R journalist.

"I do know that Boston made a call to the Bucks before February's trade deadline, but I do not think Boston ever loomed as a very serious suitor, and until I hear otherwise, I don't think they're necessarily going to be either.
