The Washington Huskies extended an offer to the No. 1 player in Oregon in the 2028 class, three-star DL PJ Tautu.

The Washington Huskies have dished out some early offers to some priority targets in the 2028 class, and in search of additional reinforcements along the defensive line, position coach Jason Kaufusi ventured south to Oregon. There, he made a stop at Central Catholic High School to extend an offer to the top player in the state and No. 32 defensive lineman in the 2027 class, according to 247Sports' rankings, three-star prospect PJ Tautu.

The 6-foot-3, 260-pound defensive lineman now holds seven offers, as the Huskies joined the ranks of BYU, Oregon State, San Diego State, and Washington State, among others, in the early pursuit of his services. As coaching staffs around the country enter into an evaluation period for underclassmen, Tautu is likely to see several more Power 4 offers roll in over the coming months. Blessed to revive an offer from the University Of Washington!

However, with his frame, he's likely to move to the interior full-time once he gets onto a college campus. Tautu also never gives up on a play, showing off his high-end motor with his ability to chase down quarterbacks no matter which way they run as they attempt to extend plays. Combined with his ability to set the edge and hold his ground on the interior, he has all the makings of a defensive tackle who can contribute in a rotation in the Big Ten.
