John Blackwell has one goal if he plays for Duke next season

If he plays for Duke next season instead of entering the NBA Draft, John Blackwell has one goal in mind for the Blue Devils.

John Blackwell has a massive decision on his hands on whether to enter the 2026 NBA Draft or return to college and play for Duke after transferring from Wisconsin this offseason. If he decides on the latter, it’s because he wants to achieve the ultimate goal in college basketball: a national championship. "That's the reason I picked Duke," Blackwell told Andy Katz at the combine.

"Because of the roster and because of who's coming back. Just the guys that are around. I think we have a special chance to go get a national championship.

That's what you play for. That's what you come back to college for, to go compete for a national championship. " Blackwell would be a key piece for the Blue Devils’ chances of winning their first national title since 2015, most likely being a starter for Jon Scheyer’s squad after a season in which he averaged 19.

1 points, 5. 1 rebounds and 2. 3 assists for the Badgers.
