Astros’ Jeremy Peña doubles, reaches base three times in rehab game with Hooks
Houston Astros shortstop Jeremy Peña doubled and reached base three times during his rehab assignment with the Hooks on Tuesday, May 12, in a game against the Amarillo Sod Poodles at Whataburger Field. Peña finished 1-for-2 with two walks before leaving the game in the sixth inning after being hit by a pitch. Pena was also upended on a defensive play in the infield, though he appeared to escape uninjured.
Peña is currently rehabbing a Grade 1 right hamstring strain that has sidelined him since April 13.
