Former Vol plays in Minnesota-San Antonio Game 5 NBA playoffs

No. 2 seed San Antonio defeated No. 6 seed Minnesota, 126-97, on Tuesday in the NBA Western Conference playoffs semifinals at Frost Bank Center in San Antonio, Texas.

The Spurs lead the best-of-seven series, 3-2. Former Vol Julian Phillips played three minutes for the Timberwolves in Game 5 on Tuesday. He did not convert his only three-point field goal attempt.

Anthony Edwards led Minnesota in scoring with 20 points. San Antonio forward Victor Wembanyama led all scorers with 27 points. Game 6 between the Spurs and Timberwolves is scheduled for Friday at Target Center in Minneapolis, Minnesota.
