Nebraska rises in poll rankings following sweep of Iowa

Nebraska baseball jumped to No. 21 in the nation after sweeping the Iowa Hawkeyes over the weekend.

Nebraska baseball came in 21st in the USA TODAY Sports Coaches Poll. This represents a three-spot jump from the 24th last week. The Huskers had a successful weekend, taking care of business against the Iowa Hawkeyes .

They swept Hawkeyes over the weekend, culminating in a perfect 15-0 home record. This marked the first time since joining the Big Ten that they went undefeated at home. They currently sit at 37-14 with a 20-7 record in the Big Ten.

The season is coming to a close, and Nebraska will take on Creighton on Tuesday at 6 p. m. CT.

They will then play their final regular-season series against Minnesota from Thursday, May 14, to Saturday, May 16. Overall, this has been a successful regular season for the Huskers, and they are riding high with the Big Ten tournament set to begin in short order.
