Who is the best Tallahassee-area softball player of all time? Vote

The iconic dirt softball diamonds across the state of Florida have housed some of the nation's best players, including some in the Big Bend region . Softball is one of the area's top sports, with Division I athletes produced with regularity across Tallahassee area high schools. Current generation stars include former Wakulla ace Charley Butler, now at Auburn, Florida High's Jaysoni Beachum , a star at third base for Florida State , and Chiles star Adelyn Matthews, now at Duke.

While those three represent just a small fraction of the current and past generation of softball stars in the area, it's time to find out who is the best. As the United States approaches its 250th anniversary, USA TODAY Sports will celebrate the 250 greatest American sports figures of all time.
