It was a well deserved award for a young player who has been working so hard to maintain consistent form all season and has been a real menace to defenders all year.

Shearer was presenting the awards last night, and as you will see further below, Mheuka put his best outfit on to accept it and was see lapping up the occasion. He’s not really had many first team chances at Chelsea this season, but he has been called upon a few times. Hopefully going forward now we will see him more involved – although a good loan is needed for him this summer now.

Mheuka accepts his award I’m sure he’s very happy to be there and taking this award, despite his stone cold look! He looks like he’s in the zone and ready to play another game, sign of a top mentality! Very well deserved, Shim!
