Rosenior became the second head coach to depart Stamford Bridge this season, following Enzo Maresca’s January exit. Chelsea keeping options open despite positive Xabi Alonso talks Chelsea are thought to have a shortlist of five or six names, with Alonso and Andoni Iraola believed to be the preferred candidates at this stage. The report adds Chelsea’s hierarchy are confident of getting their favoured candidate, whilst there’s optimism after early talks with Alonso’s camp.

Alonso has been out of work since being sacked by Real Madrid in January, whilst he guided Bayer Leverkusen to their first Bundesliga title in an unbeaten season.
