Switching agents isn’t uncommon in football, but it’s usually done in order to try and get a new contract, or to facilitate a move down the line. Caicedo has insisted he’s very happy at Chelsea and still believes in the club’s project despite a really difficult season. Like the majority of his team-mates, Caicedo has suffered a dip in form this season, which can partly be put to down to participation at the Club World Cup last summer.
Caicedo put in a much improved performance against Liverpool, and the Blues will hope he’s at his best for Saturday’s FA Cup final against Manchester City.
