Green Bay area high school sports results for Tuesday, May 12
High school baseball, softball, soccer, track and field, and tennis teams were in action.
BASEBALL Bay Port 3, Notre Dame 2 GREEN BAY - The Pirates scored a run in the eighth inning to defeat the Tritons in a Fox River Classic Conference matchup. Cayden Heier, Carson Hawley, Eli Hart and Ethan Orlando each had two hits for Bay Port. Orlando hit a solo home run, while Hawley’s two hits were doubles, and Heier had a double and drove in two runs.
Parker Broehm pitched three innings of one-hit ball and got the win for Bay Port. He struck out four. Brennen Frelich pitched the final two innings and took the loss for Notre Dame.
De Pere 9, Pulaski 1 PULASKI - The Redbirds took a 4-0 lead after two innings on the way to the Fox River Classic Conference win over the Red Raiders. De Pere had seven hits but also used five walks and three Pulaski errors to score its runs. Fisher Anderson drove in two runs for De Pere, while Gavin Geiser had two hits.
Ryland Nowak earned the win for De Pere. He gave up four hits, one run (unearned) and struck out seven in the complete game. Braun Wotruba took the loss for Pulaski.
