High school baseball, softball, soccer, track and field, and golf teams were in action.
BASEBALL Kimberly 3, Fond du Lac 0 KIMBERLY - Maddux Hermus and Pierson Hacker combined to pitch a two-hit shutout to lead the Papermakers to the Fox Valley Association win over the Cardinals. Hermus pitched six innings and allowed two hits. He walked one and struck out 11.
Hacker pitched one inning, walked one and struck out two. Kimberly, which was held to four hits, scored one run in the third inning and two in the fourth. Ryan Halfmann had two hits and an RBI.
Jake Mau had one hit and drove in two runs. Hacker had the other hit for the Papermakers. Grant Guderski had both hits for Fond du Lac.
Neenah 20, Oshkosh North 1 NEENAH - Ethan Hellengreen was 2-for-3 with a grand slam and six RBIs as the Rockets blew past the Spartans en route to the Fox Valley Association win. Also powering the Neenah offense were Levi Boivin, who was 2-for-2 with a homer and three RBIs; Gus Weinholzer, who doubled twice; Cal Juckem, who was 2-for-2 with a triple and two RBIs; Landen Sheppard, who was 2-for-3 with a double; and Henry St. Clair, who was 2-for-2 with an RBI.
