Cécile Canqueteau-Landi is rebuilding. Her third hire is her husband and Hall of Famer Laurent Landi.

Georgia gymnastics added another body to guide the program following the departure of co-head coach Ryan Roberts and assistant coaches Marissa King and Oleksii Koltakov on April 21. Cécile Canqueteau-Landi, who will be the sole head coach and is piloting the program's resurgence to national relevance , already brought on former GymDog Megan Haught on April 23 and Iowa's Brenna Brooks on May 5. Now she's added her husband, Laurent Landi, as associate head coach.

"The opportunity to work with Cecile again is something I’m truly excited about, and I look forward to helping push UGA to even greater heights," Laurent Landi said in a department press release. "Above all, I’m passionate about supporting our student-athletes, helping them believe in themselves, reach their goals, and thrive both as athletes and as young women. " The Landis have worked together for over 20 years.

As a team, they've mentored 13 USA Women's Senior National Team members, which includes Olympic and World gold medalists Simone Biles, Jordan Chiles and Madison Kocian, as well as world team champions Alyssa Baumann and Joscelyn Roberson. The couple was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2023, and Laurent was named the USA Gymnastics Coach of the Year in both 2022 and 2023. When they moved to Georgia for Cécile to take over the GymDogs, he ran a gymnastics consulting company and worked closely with the Mexican and French national teams, as well as many USA Gymnastics clubs in the country.

Prior, they were both at the World Champions Centre in Spring, Texas, which had been Biles' home club since 2017. They relocated to the states in 2004 after coaching in France, their homeland. Like Cécile, Laurent was also a member of the French national team.
