The NBA community mourned the death of the Grizzlies forward and the trailblazing big man.
The NBA community was in mourning on Tuesday over the deaths of Grizzlies forward Brandon Clarke and trailblazer Jason Collins. And that support was clear in San Antonio. Clarke, who was found dead in Los Angeles on Monday , played seven seasons in the NBA with the Grizzlies.
He was 29 years old. Collins died at the age of 47 after a battle with brain cancer. With the Timberwolves and Spurs set to play Tuesday at Frost Bank Center, the Spurs paid tribute following Clarke's and Collins' passing.
Just before the Game 5 was set to get underway, the Spurs held a moment of silence for both players. The somber scene at Frost Bank Center looked like this: A moment of silence was held for NBA players Brandon Clarke and Jason Collins before Timberwolves-Spurs ā¤ļø pic. twitter.
