Trice has dealt with a number of injuries since being drafted out of Purdue in 2023. He tore his ACL in training camp his rookie season, causing him to miss the entirety of the year. In 2024, he was injured in the third game of the season and appeared in only six games.
He did not appear in a game in the 2025 season. The Steelers have a very deep cornerback room after the addition of Jamel Dean in free agency. With Joey Porter, Dean, Asante Samuel, and Brandin Echols along with whatever role Jalen Ramsey will play, the secondary is in good hands.
