In Week 4 of the 2024 NFL season, playing defensive back for the Detroit Lions , Jacobs intercepted Green Bay Packers QB Jordan Love twice in a 34-20 win. He didn't have a long-lasting NFL career, but that was special. On Tuesday, Jacobs called it quits on his football career.
He has retired from the sport. The 28-year old Jacobs posted a heartfelt message on social media to make the announcement: Former #Lions CB Jerry Jacobs announced that heโs retiring from the game of football at age 28. pic.
