FSU in top four schools for DL target in Alabama, official visit set
Florida State will get the first chance to impress 2027 three-star defensive lineman Wesley Gover on his official visit schedule on May 29.
The Florida State Seminoles had 2027 three-star defensive lineman Wesley Gover on campus for one of their Junior Day weekends in January, and he left with a scholarship offer. He returned in March for another trip, and now his next visit has been set. Gover will kick off his official visit tour in Tallahassee with FSU on May 29.
His other visits will be to see the Kentucky Wildcats on June 5, Purdue Boilermakers on June 12, and the Baylor Bears on June 19. The 6-foot-2, 285-pounder also named these programs as his top four schools. The Thompson High School standout broke down what makes Florida State so appealing.
"They're the closest and they were my first big offer, so they were the first team to take a chance on me," Gover said. "That's a big thing. So yeah, them taking a chance on me is a big, big thing towards why I made an OV to them," per Noles247's Brendan Sonnone .
The 247Sports composite rankings have listed Gover as the No. 733 overall player and the nation's No. 83 defensive lineman.
