Detroit Lions will get new Nike Rivalries jerseys in 2026 season

The Detroit Lions have donned their Motor City Muscle alternate jerseys in recent seasons, including last year against the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas Day . Detroit gets to update its wardrobe in 2026. The Lions are among the teams getting a new alternate this season.

Last year, the NFL unveiled its Nike Rivalries collection for clubs from the AFC East and NFC West. Detroit will join that group in 2026. Lions president and CEO Rod Wood confirmed with the Detroit Free Press that the Lions would be getting the new Rivalries uniform back in March before the league's annual spring meeting.

The Lions can only wear the rivalry uniform once per season and it must be at home against a division rival. Wood had told the Free Press in March that he and the Lions would decide which opponent—the Chicago Bears , Green Bay Packers or Minnesota Vikings —to wear their new Nike Rivalry uniforms against after the full NFL schedule release. The Lions will learn their full schedule on Thursday night beginning at 8 p.
