Gone way too soon," Morant wrote in an Instagram story . He also posted photos of himself, Clarke and former Grizzlies forward Jaren Jackson Jr. together.

Clarke, 29, died on May 11. A report from a Los Angeles television station said that investigators are treating the case as a possible overdose. He spent seven seasons with the Grizzlies after being drafted 21st overall in the 2019 NBA Draft.

He played college basketball at San Jose State and Gonzaga. There were plenty of other tributes from Grizzlies players and from around the NBA.
