Wildcats score second straight conference crown in Vicksburg

VICKSBURG — The Three Rivers boys finished the Wolverine Conference season with an undefeated record. The Wildcats backed it up at the conference championships Friday in Vicksburg, posting 138 points to beat Vicksburg's 133. 5 team points.

It was the second consecutive conference championship for Three Rivers. Head coach Jason Muckel was also named as the Coach of the Year for the conference. Carter Rice won both hurdle events to earn conference championships.

He ran to first place overall in the 110 hurdles in 14. 58 seconds and scored a time of 39. 50 seconds in the 300 hurdles.

He met the MHSAA early qualifying time in the 110 hurdles, as did teammate DJ Fuller, who finished second in 15. 16 seconds.
