Barcelona issue statement after Real Madrid president Florentino Perez goes on the attack
The Catalans could take legal action.

The 79-year-old spoke to the media to confirm he is not going to resign but said he will call for elections. Perez also took the opportunity to rant about the media and referees and also brought up the Negreira case again. Barcelona have been quick to respond with the following statement: “Regarding the press conference held by the Real Madrid president, Florentino Pérez, we inform that our legal department are carefully examining his declarations and accusations.
“They are currently being analysed and the steps to be taken are being assessed. When considered opportune, any positions and decisions that have been adopted will be notified. ” Perez’s rant comes just days after Barcelona beat Real Madrid in El Clasico to win La Liga again.
Hansi Flick’s side have now won back-to-back league titles, while Los Blancos are set for a second straight trophyless year.
