Four Oak Hills athletes sign to compete at the college level next fall
Four student-athletes from Oak Hills High School have signed to play sports at the collegiate level.
Four standout student-athletes from Oak Hills High School have committed to compete at the collegiate level, officially signing letters of intent at universities across California and Oregon. Representatives from Hesperia Unified School District congratulated Jordan Spencer , Brycen Bennett, Jorge Mejia Zavala and Trevor Johnson in a press release, stating that their transition from the "small town feel" of Hesperia to prestigious college programs across the West Coast is a testament to the hard work of the district's staff, coaches and students. The success of the four young men comes from a culmination of years spent balancing early mornings, late practices and the demands of the classroom.
As they prepare to take their talents to the next level, they leave behind a shared legacy shaped by the Oak Hills athletic program . Jordan Spencer, track & field According to Hesperia Unified School District representatives , Spencer showcases a premier talent in track and field. He has accepted a full-ride scholarship to join the Cal State Fullerton Titans, an NCAA Division 1 university.
The track star solidified his legacy this year as the 2026 Mojave River League Boys Track and Field Athlete of the Year. Achieving a rare feat, he became a quadruple Mojave River League Champion in the 4x100m, 400m, 200m, and 4x400m, leading the Bulldogs to their fourth consecutive league title. Spencer is currently in the midst of a historic CIF postseason following a dominant tenure as a Bulldog, with record-breaking senior year statistics.
He set a school record in the 400-meter race: 47. 29 seconds, the eighth fastest time for a high schooler in California. He set a second school record in the 4x200 relay race, running a 1:25:28 segment, the third fastest for a high schooler in California.
