AC Milan and the U. S. men's national team can breathe a sigh of relief over Christian Pulisic .

Multiple reports in Italy this week said Pulisic does not have any injury, and is in contention for AC Milan's game against Genoa on Sunday, May 17. Pulisic was held out of AC Milan's 3-2 defeat against Atalanta on Sunday, May 10, reportedly due to discomfort in his glute muscle. But per Corriere dello Sera and Milan News , subsequent tests have ruled out any issue.

With the USMNT kicking off the World Cup in just a month, any injury to Pulisic could have jeopardized his status for the tournament on home soil. Pulisic is set to play a starring role for the USMNT this summer as he looks to snap out of an international scoring drought that dates back to 2024. The 27-year-old has been in a difficult stretch with AC Milan as well.

After scoring 10 times in the first half of the season, Pulisic has now gone a career-worst 17 straight games without a goal for AC Milan. AC Milan will hope to see Pulisic turn things around as the club looks to snap out of a tailspin that could end up costing it a Champions League place. After beating Inter in March, Massimiliano Allegriโ€™s men have earned just seven points in their next eight games.
