Michigan football nears commitment from 4-star safety
Three Rivals analysts predict 4-star safety Tavares Harrington will commit to Michigan football on May 22.
Alabama had appeared to be in the best position to secure the rights to 2027 Chicago (Ill. ) Mount Carmel four-star safety Tavares Harrington, but Michigan football has been surging in his recruitment. Also doing well with his high school teammate, four-star wide receiver Quentin Burrell, Harrington visited Ann Arbor for the annual spring game this year, and the maize and blue are increasingly looking like the team to beat.
So much so that in the last 24 hours, three Rivals national analysts -- Steve Wiltfong, Allen Trieu, and Greg Smith -- have put in predictions that he'll eventually become a Wolverine. And when might that be? According to Rivals, Harrington will make his decision known on May 22, just 10 days from now, and just over a week after his teammate, Burrell, will announce his school of choice.
