Ohio State football coach Ryan Day unwinds by watching documentaries

Ohio State football coach Ryan Day barely has any free time. When he does get time away from football, he's learning about the mafia. In an interview with Josh Pate May 12, Day revealed one of his ways to escape the stresses of his job: documentaries.

Some of Day's favorites included Netflix's "The Dinosaurs" and "American Godfathers: The Five Families.

" "I watched the one on the dinosaurs, I watched the one on the Five Families and the mafia, which I was mentioning to you before, about how they adopted over time from Prohibition to all the way to now," said Day. "... But it is good sometimes to just turn your brain off and watch something for about an hour, and then go back and make a bunch of recruiting calls.

" Day also told Pate he tries to stay off his phone as much as possible when he gets time away from practice facilities or recruiting responsibilities. "We're always on our phones and I see young people on their phones all the time," Day said. "I just want to say, 'Put your phone down and just think for a second.
