com on Monday ranked the league's top 10 "most complete" rosters entering the 2026 season, slotting the Lions in at No. 6. Detroit was the only NFC North team to make the list.
Perhaps that bodes well for a team that finished 9-8 last season, their playoff hopes dashed following a 23-10 loss to the Minnesota Vikings on Christmas . "... (The Lions) still went 9-8 in the NFLโs most balanced division while posting a plus-68 point differential," NFL.
com's Eric Edlholm writes. "This team might not boast quite as much firepower as it did a few years ago, but it remains a top-tier roster. " It's a roster still brimming with playmakers on offense, engineered by quarterback Jared Goff and boasting 1,200-yard rusher Jahmyr Gibbs and a pair of 1,100-yard receivers in Amon-Ra St.
