But, with everyone now healthy, and General Manager John Lynch going out this offseason and bringing in some firepower, things are looking a lot more complete for 2026. Quarterback Brock Purdy, running back Christian McCaffrey, and tight end George Kittle are getting some much-needed reinforcements next season. Enter l ong-time pass catcher from Tampa Bay, Mike Evans , and former Jacksonville Jaguar star Christian Kirk.
The NFC West should be on watch for this offensive onslaught waiting to happen. The 49ers , even with a shell of a roster last season because of mass injuries, still made it to the Divisional round of the playoffs. Before they got manhandled by the eventual Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks , there was nothing to be ashamed about for 2025.
Going into next season, this franchise has one of the oldest rosters in the NFL at 26. 67 years of age. Their offense is the oldest in the league, at 27.
