S. and Israel in February. However, former U.
S. Men’s National Team defender Alexi Lalas believes the tournament could prove a catalyst for positivity and “a better future. ” Having qualified for the tournament last March, Iran was subsequently drawn into Group G alongside Belgium, Egypt, and New Zealand.
However, the nation has yet to fully commit to participating in the largely U. S. -based competition, with around a month to go until kickoff.
