Would the Nets draft Kingston Flemings over Darius Acuff Jr.?
The Brooklyn Nets have the No. 6 pick in the 2026 NBA Draft. Would they choose Kingston Flemings over Darius Acuff Jr.?
The Brooklyn Nets have more than two months to decide what they're going to do with the No. 6 overall pick in the 2026 NBA Draft after Sunday's disappointing outcome. Brooklyn could always look into opportunities to trade up in the draft, but if that endeavor process unsuccessful, they will have to choose someone.
Could there be a debate about who they would choose? "Flemings plays with surgical midrange touch, an explosive first step, and passing vision of a true point guard who can run an offense," Kevin O'Connor wrote for Yahoo! Sports in his latest mock draft where he projected the Nets to take Houston guard Kingston Flemings.
At the No. 6 spot, Brooklyn could be looking at a choice between Flemings, Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. , and Illinois guard Keaton Wagler, but O'Connor's bold projection is interesting.
"But he is also 190 pounds, midrange-heavy in a 3-point league, and watched his efficiency crater against the stiffest competition late in the season," O'Connor continued. "The question is whether his scoring package translates to NBA length and spacing, or whether opposing scouts figure him out the same way late-season defenses did. " At this point in the pre-draft cycle, it seems that most analysts have the Los Angeles Clippers (via the Indiana Pacers) taking Wagler with the No.
