Vote for the Baseball Player of the Week for May 4-10

Walk-off win hitter and grand slam slugger headline this week's nominees. Voting ends at 8 p. m.

The winner of last week’s Baseball Player of the Week poll was Apponequet’s Petie Kanakis. He had more than 1,000 votes (63%) to receive the honor. Kanakis went 6 innings, allowing no runs on 3 hits and 2 walks with 14 strikeouts in a win over GNB Voc-Tech.

He also had a combined 2 hits and 3 RBIs in a pair of games against Case and Somerset Berkley. Previous winners were Dartmouth’s Chase Afonso, Dom Gioiosa and Sebastian Diaz. The winner of the Preseason Baseball Player of the Year poll was Dartmouth’s Logan Stott with more than 1,000 votes (38%).
