The Boston Bruins await the results of the McAvoy suspension hearing and a front office search. The Bruins top defenseman had his hearing with the NHL Department of Player Safety (DoPS), and some of the Bruins’ front office executives may be on the move to a vacant GM spot. Though nothing is confirmed, reports swirled that he won the job, but the team has not confirmed anything.
The DoPS was busy yesterday, even aside from the meeting. In other league news, the Avalanche stormed to a 3-1 lead last night, picking up a three-goal win, though that does not reflect how the game went. The Devils’ new GM made his first move, bringing a new AGM to Newark.
