Georgia football loses out on in-state 4-star CB to ACC school
Four-star cornerback Chase Johnson committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies over the Georgia Bulldogs, Florida State Seminoles, and Louisville Cardinals.
The Georgia Bulldogs have lost a significant number of secondary recruits from their class of 2027. They missed out on another big one. Four-star cornerback Chase Johnson committed to the Virginia Tech Hokies over the Bulldogs, according to Hayes Fawcett.
He chose Virginia Tech over Georgia, Florida State , and Louisville. Johnson stands at 5-foot-10 and weighs 150 pounds. He is an in-state cornerback from Emanuel County Institute in Swainsboro, Georgia.
He is the No. 37 corner and No. 366 overall recruit in the class of 2027.
Johnson is one of the major additions to Hokies head coach James Franklin's first full recruiting class. Franklin has amassed the No. 17 recruiting class in the nation so far.
