PSG pass up option to re-sign Borussia Dortmund-bound Joane Gadou Paris Saint-Germain have passed up the chance to sign Red Bull Salzburg defender Joane Gadou (19), who is now set to join Borussia Dortmund, as per a report from RMC Sport . Gadou left formative club PSG back in 2024 without having made a single appearance for the senior side. Despite not making the breakthrough, he was very highly rated.
He convinced Red Bull Salzburg to spend €10m to acquire his services. He has played prominently and developed quickly. Borussia Dortmund have shown an interest and could complete a deal for the player before the summer transfer window opens.
In the deal that saw the defender join RB Salzburg, PSG had a right of first refusal, meaning that they would have the chance to re-sign the player. However, PSG have passed up that option. As per RMC Sport, Gadou has signed a five-year deal with Borussia Dortmund.
He will join the Bundesliga side in a deal worth €20m with a further €6m in potential bonuses. PSG will pocket €2m in the transaction. GFFN | Luke Entwistle
