Who Draymond Green sees as draft’s top talent, and it isn’t AJ Dybantsa
Photo by Justin Edmonds/Getty Images The 2026 NBA Draft picture became clearer after the lottery last Sunday, with the Washington Wizards landing the first overall pick. The Utah Jazz, Memphis Grizzlies, Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Clippers completed the top five, giving the class a defined early shape. One of those teams is now expected to take a power forward who Draymond Green views as the best prospect available.
Draymond Green makes Caleb Wilson claim despite AJ Dybantsa buzz Photo by Jacob Kupferman/Getty Images Speaking on The Draymond Green Show, Green made a bold call about Caleb Wilson. “I think Caleb Wilson is the most special player in this draft. I think Caleb Wilson would fit with the Washington Wizards so well,” the Golden State Warriors legend said (via NBA Courtside).
“He has by far the most potential in this draft. No questions asked,” he concluded. That is a strong stance, especially when AJ Dybantsa remains the widely predicted first pick and is viewed as the leading talent in the class.
Caleb Wilson still being linked with Chicago Bulls at No. 4 Despite Green’s praise, multiple projections have Wilson landing fourth overall with the Chicago Bulls rather than going first to Washington. The 19-year-old stands six foot ten and has been praised for his offensive tools, including his mobility, finishing and ability to create advantages from the frontcourt.
He averaged 19. 8 points per game last season in College and his defensive work is just as important. Green clearly sees rare potential, but the draft board still points towards Dybantsa first and Wilson as a major prize slightly later.
