Former Notre Dame basketball guard Sir Mohammed makes commitment
Former Notre Dame guard Sir Mohammed has been in the transfer portal for a while, but on Monday made his commitment to an Ivy League program.
It has been a very interesting offseason for Notre Dame men’s basketball, and on Monday a former player made his decision on where he’ll play next . Guard Sir Mohammed came into the program with extremely high expectations, as the son for former NBA player Nazr and a top-75 prospect in the 247Sports Composite coming out of high school. Unfortunately, his two seasons in South Bend didn’t live up to the hype and he made the decision to transfer.
The window has been closed for weeks, but Mohammed waited to find his next home, which he announced that he’ll next play for Penn as reported by multiple sources. It’s a stark difference in competition level from the ACC to the Ivy League, but the education aspect makes plenty of sense. Hopefully Mohammed resurrects his career with the Quakers, as he’ll surely get a top notch degree.
We wish him the best as he continues his basketball and academic career. Notre Dame transfer Sir Mohammed has committed to Penn, sources told ESPN. Former top-100 recruit averaged 5.
