Here's where LSU baseball's RPI ranks after being swept again. It's not looking good for Jay Johnson's Tigers.
LSU baseball was swept again over the weekend, dropping all three games to Georgia in Athens. LSU has now been swept in four of its last five series. LSU's lone SEC wins in that span came when LSU swept South Carolina, a team that ranks just below LSU at the bottom of the SEC.
LSU's postseason chances aren't looking good. LSU needed to make a statement in Athens -- the Tigers did anything but that. Aside from Game 1, when LSU held an early lead, the Tigers were not competitive against the Bulldogs.
LSU did not give its RPI the boost that it needed. After the UGA series, LSU ranks No. 57 in RPI.
RPI is a critical metric for the NCAA Tournament selection committee, and No. 57 is far from where LSU needs to be for an at-large bid. LSU missed a chance to add quadrant-one wins vs.
