During a recent episode of the Craig Carton Show , Carton weighed in on rumors of Kansas City Chiefs quarterback Patrick Mahomes being available to play at the start of the 2026 season. "Patrick Mahomes is not playing football in September for the Kansas City Chiefs," said Carton, "I know you're a bunch of sheep. I know you're not that bright, but when you tear an ACL, you don't come back in six months.

After surgery the following day, he's shown drastic improvement in his rehab and is expected to return to the football field ahead of the 2026 season.
