The first look at the Cleveland Browns rookies and tryout players had some interesting notes
The Cleveland Browns just finished their 2026 rookie minicamp over the weekend. This consisted of all drafted players, undrafted rookie free agents, first-year players, and some tryout guys. It is also the first year for new head coach Todd Monken and the majority of his coaching staff.
The minicamp was held from May 8โ10 in Berea at the CrossCountry Mortgage Campus. RELATED: LIST OF ROOKIE TRAINING CAMP ATTENDEES The effort was good each day, but as expected, there were plenty of mistakes. Being called offside seemed to be a popular occurrence all weekend.
So was going right when the play called went left. Keep in mind, every player was in shorts with no pads. A total of 53 athletes participated: 10 draft picks, 6 reserve/futures guys, 12 undrafted rookies, and 25 tryout players looking to secure a training camp contract.
Each May, this minicamp will include a few guys who arenโt technically rookies but have been extended an invitation to participate. Call them first-year veterans who have inked the reserve contracts. Before any of the players arrived in Berea, the coaching staff had held virtual meetings with the players in order to introduce them to parts of the install.
