The midfielder has been dealing with knee problems all season, and he didn’t play a Premier League game between February 23rd and April 19th – when he made his initial comeback against Manchester City.
Three games later, Odegaard was absent again for Arsenal’s win over Fulham, which has been the story of his season so far. “It’s been a tough season for me personally. I’ve been fighting my injury. “I’ve struggled with my knee for a long time, but I’ve fought really hard to be around the team and in the squad and play when I can.
I’m finally starting to feel better now. ” Photo by Eddie Keogh/Getty Images The good news for Arsenal’s recurring-injury strugglers is that the Gunners only have one game a week for the remainder of the season. In fact, the team don’t have a game at all this week, with Burnley having been moved to next Monday.
Everyone will have the chance to rest in midweek, which should help those like Odegaard who are trying to stay fit.
