And he didn't, although he spoke somewhat openly about the idea during his postgame press conference late Monday night into Tuesday. The Lakers had just been swept by the Oklahoma City Thunder , and James knew his future would be a hot-button topic. LeBron is 41 now and has accomplished all there is to accomplish in the NBA.
He's the league's all-time leading scorer. He's even played on the court at the same time as his son. At this point, James continuing to play basketball will only be about his desire to keep on hooping.
