The trio are among 12 players who have not been offered new terms by Rovers, who only avoided relegation from the EFL on the final day of the League Two campaign. Patrick, 29, joined on a free transfer from Carlisle two years ago and was Rovers' second top scorer with seven goals in 41 appearances.

Dennis, 36, who also arrived from Carlisle, scored four goals in 26 league games. Norman, 30, joined from MK Dons three years ago and scored three goals in 38 league games. The other players leaving are Jason Lowe, Josh Davison, Richie Smallwood, Sol Solomon, Harvey Saunders, Sam Taylor, Ethan Bristow, Aaron McGowan and Kaiyne Woolery.

Tranmere are in talks about extending Ryan Watson's contract after the midfielder returned to Prenton Park in March on a short-term deal from Salford City. Luke McGee, Lee O'Connor, Jordan Turnbull, Nathan Smith, Patrick Brough, James Plant, Nohan Kenneh, Lewis Warrington, Charlie Whitaker, Josh Williams, Joe Ironside and Connor Jennings remain under contract at the club, while Sam Finley's agreement has been extended by a year after the midfielder met a contractual stipulation. As announced last week, Dubliner Joe Murphy, 44, has finally hung up his gloves and retired after a 26-year career, which began with Rovers in 1998.
