Kentucky basketball roster 2026-27, updates on Mark Pope's offseason
Kentucky basketball coach Mark Pope is continuing to add players from the NCAA transfer portal and recruiting trail. See the latest on UK's roster:
LEXINGTON โ Nearly midway through May, a good portion of Kentucky basketball 's 2026-27 roster is complete. But coach Mark Pope and the rest of his staff still have more work to do. As of May 11, the Wildcats have filled 13 of their 15 scholarships for next season.
The first order of business: Learning what rising sophomore center Malachi Moreno will do. Moreno on April 6 announced he would go through the NBA draft process while maintaining his college eligibility. If he takes his name out of the the draft, Moreno said he'll return for another season at UK .
What he'll do is still uncertain. Kevin O'Connor , who writes for Yahoo Sports, reported May 11 that "Moreno has garnered intrigue from teams in the mid-late first round range. " The deadline to withdraw from the draft is 11:59 p.
m. ET May 27. Moreno aside, four players from last season's roster will be back in 2026-27: forwards Braydon Hawthorne , Trent Noah and Reece Potter along with guard Kam Williams .
