Njoku spent the first nine years of his career with the Browns , but will now play in Mike McDaniel's offense in LA and catch passes from quarterback Justin Herbert. While Njoku is coming off a down year, the 29-year-old had a stellar performance in 2023 where he recorded 882 yards with six touchdowns. The career-high campaign earned him his first Pro Bowl selection that year. Former Miami Hurricane The Chargers selected Akheem Mesidor out of Miami with the No.
22 overall pick in this year's NFL draft. Mesidor won't be the only Hurricane on the team, as that is also Njoku's alma mater. Like Mesidor, he was also a first-round pick (at just 20 years old).
