Three incredible records Barcelona can still break after La Liga title triumph Winning La Liga may have completed Barcelona’s biggest objective of the season, but within the club, there is no sense of slowing down before the campaign officially comes to an end. Instead, Hansi Flick and his squad are now focused on turning an already successful season into one that could enter the history books. With three league matches remaining, Barcelona have several major records within touching distance.

What are the records? The most important target is the famous 100-point mark, something only two teams have managed in the history of La Liga. Ironically, one of those sides was Real Madrid under Jose Mourinho during the 2011/12 campaign, and the other came a season later when Barcelona, led by Tito Vilanova, reached the same total.

Currently at 91 points, Barcelona need to win their remaining matches to achieve that historic milestone. Furthermore, Barcelona have found the net in 56 consecutive La Liga matches, placing them closer to another historic milestone. The all-time league record currently stands at 63 straight matches with a goal.

While that remains some distance away from the club record of 16 set under Pep Guardiola during the 2010/11 season, the current run shows the consistency Flick has managed to build in his first year.

The home record At home, Barcelona’s dominance has perhaps been even more striking. The Catalan side are currently on course for 18 consecutive home victories and could nearly complete a perfect home campaign if they defeat Real Betis in one of their remaining fixtures. Beyond league form, Barcelona also achieved another milestone after their latest El Clasico victory.
