Girls basketball large school all-state teams include 14 Section V players

Mercy's Emerson Wandtke is Section V's lone first-team selection on this list.

Another final bow has been put on the 2025–26 high school girls basketball season. The New York State Sportswriters Association released this season's large school all-state teams on Monday. The list, which encompasses schools in Class AAA, AA and A, includes 14 players from Section V (not including several others that were included among the honorable mentions).

Aquinas (Class AAA champion), Our Lady of Mercy (Class A champion), Pittsford Sutherland (Class AA-2 runner-up), Webster Schroeder (Class AA-1 champion) led the way with two selections apiece. Mercy's Emerson Wandtke is the only first-team selection so far. The freshman center was also an All-Greater Rochester first-teamer and the MVP of the Class A section tournament.
